Can I ask a photoshop question here or can you redirect
me as to where I can write to ask my question (you guys
seem to know everything!!)

I am trying to make a contact sheet with a bunch of
pictures from my picture folder to e-mail to some one.
Tried to use the contact sheet in Photoshop and it comes
back with a "could not complete the contact sheet 2
command because of a program error" message. Now I
don't know how to get this to work or is there some other
way I can do this?

Thanks in advance

I don't know about PhotoShop but the freeware
IrfanView will allow you to create a contact sheet
and save it as an image file that you could e-mail
to someone.

Download IrfanView 3.91
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html
(get the plug-ins too)

After installing...open IrfanView and go to...
File / Thumbnails...

A "Thumbnail" screen will open that shows
all your drives.

Browse to the correct...Drive / Folder...and
open it...

Thumbs of your images will appear in the
right pane.

Hold your Ctrl key and multiple select the
images you wish to include in the Contact
Sheet.

With images selected...go to......File /
Create Contact Sheet From Selected
Thumbs...

This will open the "Create Contact Sheet"
screen

Enter the options you require...columns,
rows, spacing, etc.

If you want file names...be sure there is
a check in the "Write File Infos" box.

To save the file...select...Save All Pages...

Choose a folder to save in...

Choose a format...probably...jpg...

Click...Create.

Did you try changing the settings for your contact sheet? Check the size of
your contact sheet, the number of columns and rows and resolution. The
Resolution is generally about 72 but not more than 150 and the contact sheet
should be not larger than 8x10 and don't try to squeeze too many pictures on
one sheet. Are you setting it up to write file names? If you are, trying
doing it without the file names and see if that works. You may have an
"illegal" file name. Also check the folder of graphics you are using. See if
there a file in that folder that might be causing a problem.
