Photoshop CS2 .PSD Thumbnails don't work in xp after installing CS2. How do
I make them work?

I can not say one or the other but Adobe Photoshop's generate thumbnail
option was believed to have caused Window's explorer to crash when folders
containing a large number of images were opened.... This may be a true issue
but I never heard nothing official from Adobe or MS. All I know is when CS
was released the option was no longer available and I doubt it will return.

Try the Adobe forums to see if you can get some Official information

Life would be easier if we could view the source code

I've heard that sometimes this will work:

Load an older version of Photoshop then uninstall it.
It will leave behind the .dll you need to view .PSDs in explorer.
Meanwhile I think Adobe is retarded for disabling thumbs in explorer.
/me ends rant
