Hi John:
Thanks for the photos, haven't viewed them all yet but most. Like your
wooly hat have you still got it? Your Mum's off to see Ellen on Friday for
a couple of days, back on Monday. I'm making quiches tomorrow for the WI
stall for the Mayfield Carnival this weekend.
Dad
Dear Dad:
You should look at all of the pictures. I think you'll
especially like the ones I took of you and Mum with the
hidden camera. I never knew you were so flexible.
Yes, I still have the wooly hat. In fact I belong to a
club and all of the members wear that hat. (Not the same
one--we each have our own, LOL.) We call ourselves the
Sheepherders, but I can't tell you why.
I'm surprised that you still, after all these years,
believe that Mum is "off to see Ellen" when she goes on
her little weekend jaunts. You'd think that the fact that
she doesn't know anyone named Ellen would give you a clue.
And the fact that she always gets you to make quiches or
something in order to keep you occupied might make you
think for a minute. I recall one weekend when she said
she would be off to see Ellen for a few days, and you
wanted to go along, but she said, "No, Eddie, don't you
remember? You have to make 600 cheese souffles for the
church dinner." You made the souffles, even though you and
Mum haven't been to church or a church dinner in 30 years.
And Mum came home on Monday morning with her pants on
backwards.
Oh, well, time to go. It was good to hear from you. I'm off
to a meeting of the Sheepherders. Give my love to Mum
when she comes home and sobers up.
John
