For some reason when I print my photos from my digital
camera, they come out really dark. I can't figure out how
to make them lighter. Can anybody help me? Thanks

You need a Digital Image Editing program so you can
adjust the brightness and contrast. Chances are that you
already have such a program because most printers,
scanners and digital cameras have editing software on
the installation CD.

Also, make sure your printer driver is set for the proper
type of paper you're using. Some generic photo papers
simply do not work well with certain printers. In general,
you'll get the best results (& less hassles) by using the
same brand of paper as your printer. Their branded paper
is specifically made for the inks they use in their
printers. I own an Epson photo 820 printer and I did a lot
of experimenting (& wasted a lot of ink) before I got
acceptable results with Kodak Picture paper and the
quality is still nowhere as good as with Epson paper..

If there's a Costco in your area, they have a good deal
on Epson Photo Paper. I got a 100 sheet package for
$20 a few weeks ago.
