Antonio is planning to translate the website in English! I already dit a
large part, but to be frankly, I guess any English teacher will faint
because of the number of grammar and spell errors I mannaged to sneak in.
Also, some documents are not yet translated.

He asked at his french form to help him, but there was little reply,
unfortunatly. So I offered to ask arround in this newsgroup.

Antonio would be very greatfull if want to help him out. For example by
spell checking my scribblings or helping to translate the pages into
English.

The current state of the english website can beviewed at
http://antonio.dacruz.free.fr/english/

If you like to help out, you can contact Antonio (in english) at
photofiltre (at) free (dot) fr
or reply to this thread so I can give feedback to Antonio.

Thanks in advance,

MightyKitten

I think it is good use not to change this.
As for the others, you're compleetly right, gonna change it and send it back

You are doing a fine job. I can only see a few spelling/typing mistakes:

Photofiltre page:
funtions = functions
Plugins page:
Aloows = Allows
ne = new
duplicationg = duplicating
symetry = symmetry

Have you tried using an english spelling checker?
That could help you find such typing mistakes easily.

And I can imagen that, for others, a spell checker to be the ideal soltion
for me.
Unfortunately, this is practically not the case (though I wish it was).
I'm quite dyslectic.

If a spellchecker or someone looking over my shoulder corrects me, I will
correct the word, but this often result in me finnishing thesentence in a
whole different way. For me it will still make sense, but for you it would
look like a compleet meeningless sentence. (Just like getting an answer from
The Fuss).

To avoid this problem, I rather stay with miss-spelled words, since these
can be guessed more easyly than a sentence witch does not seem to have a
meaning at al.

Nice example:

'If only knew corrected this just typing email'
would be
'If you only knew how much words I alreay corrected just typing this e-mail'

I took it from an earlier e-mail I once wrote ;-)

Fortunatly for me, this 'problem' only occures when writing, but never has
stopped me from e-mailing or writing

Ok, this was just an other little inight in my psychotic mind..

MK, shouldn't the version there be 5.6?

Your work is appreciated!

Bob

Remove "kins" from address to reply.

Hmm... Yeah, it should, though I will wait with changing the version name
until the translation is done, or I'll have to keep on chaging version
numbers...

Good for you! A friend of ours, who is dyslexic also, was over for a visit
with my wife and I last weekend and at one point proposed a game of
Scrabble. He's somehow always loved the game. Like you, he has never let
his "problem" stand in his way when it comes to doing something he enjoys.
The three of us played two games, and our friend came in as a *very* strong
second both times- once scoring 58 points in a single play after building
off another word to lay "quits" down across a triple-word space.

This guy is now considering buying his first computer. When he does, I'm
sure he won't let a spellchecker become an obstacle to his enjoyment.

Regards,
Ian.

That's not fair! (at least to you ;-) )

People who only have problem with writing, like me, often can play with
words and grammar verbaly like no other! -- heb probably never told you
*that* ;-)

He is right to see his problem not as a problem. I, for instance, always
have a voice recorder handy, to be able to dictate things instead of writing
it down. And I quit being ashame of letting others check any letters I have
to write. I'm much better at writing as others are at using a computer so...

It would be smart for him to uy a computer. I know it has improved my
writing more than any therapy, additional lessons, classes and whatever
teachers and other could think up.

I even write some Visual Basic / websites sometimes, and though this means
I'll get 100 times a compiler error, i still manage to complete these
websites and applications. (And even more important: I like to do do this)
