I'm trying to create a photo story using Microsoft Plus Digial Media Edition,
however, when I try to add background music, using a song I purchased from
iTunes, however, it will not let me use that song. What do I do? Any
suggestions?

I think the issue is due to the following restriction:

Digital Rights Management
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management
(if you scroll down to "DRM and
Internet music"...iTunes is discussed)

There is some info at the following link that may be useful:

Someone else had a similar question so I'll just paste my response to them
here.

This is a touchy subject because this message is by design. The intention is
not really to get around it, but to protect *you* from unintentionally
infringing on copyright.

That said, if you "own" the mp3 (or iTunes file, in your case) and can burn
to CD, try doing so. Then rip the CD without copyright protection options.
Be careful how you use your resulting story, and certainly don't mass
distribute it.

Alternatively, you can use the Custom Music creation feature of Photo Story
3 and not have the copyright concerns.
