Photo Story closes upon Import Pictures

After I open up Photo Story 3 I go to "Import Pictures" It defaults to a
folder with some images in it and displays them as a thumbnails or a list.
When I click on another folder to try and import pictures, Photo Story
immediately closes down. I have tried uninstalling and then re-installing
PS3 with no luck. The same problem happens each and every time. Anyone have
any ideas as to what the problem is. I have read other posts and find that I
am not the only one who has had this problem.
 
Does it happen regardless of the folder, or on a certain one. If you change
the thumnail size, does that help?
 
It does not matter which folder I try and access. Whenever I try and click
on any other folder PS closes down immediately. Images in the folder are
listed, changing thumbnail size did not make any difference. When I open up
PS it always defaults to the same folder. I can still use Photo Story as
long as I copy and paste my images into that particular folder using another
application before accessing PS.
