photo story 3 slide show-adding custom music

I have tried to add music to my slide show in photo story 3. It works using
the music provided by this software. How can I download music that will be
compatible with photo story 3. The first time I tried from one of the
download sites, the file extension did not agree with that required in photo
stroy 3.
