Photo Story 3 is not allowing me to open a story I've been working

When I click on "edit a project" my different Photo Stories appear, however
when I try to open some of them I get the message - "Photo Story can not open
the selected project file because it is corrupted. Try opening a different
project".
I have been practising up until now and it hasn't mattered, but I want to
begin a 20 minute Story for my daugher's 21st birthday and I am so worried
that I will spend a day on it, not to be able to open it the next day. I
would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
 
Has anyone found a solution for Cloe's issue? I have run into the same issue
and am very frustrated...Please help!
