I have 4 pictures where the motion effect starts out on a small box and
gradually expands to the entire picture. It then transitons with a cross-fade
effect to the next picture.
But once the current picture expands to the full size, I want it to stay
there for another 5 seconds. When defining the picture, if the duration is X
then it takes X seconds to go from the small box to the full size, then
transitions immediately to the next picture. How do I delay the transition to
the next picture for 5 more seconds?
What I tried was to import 2 copies of each picture (the same .jpg was
imported twice).
The 1st copy had the motion effects and no transition. It's duration was 10
seconds.
The 2nd copy had a duration of 5 seconds, no motion, the start position was
set to the same as the end position of the prevous picture (there is a box to
check for this) and the end position was set to the same as the start
position (the other box to check).
The transition was set as cross-fade for 2 seconds.
I repeated this process with the other 3 pictures and saved using the NTSC
DVD 640x480 setting (making a motion background menu for a DVD - plan on
using Tmpg to convert to mpeg2).
While this worked, the display (on the PC) became noticably fuzzy for the
2nd copy of each picture (the ones that hold the whole picture for 5
seconds). The 1st copy of each picture (the ones with the 10 sec motion
effect) were crystal clear.
Any idea why the output degraded for the 2nd copy?
Any other ways to hold onto a picture after the motion effect is done?
thanks
