Photo Slides Movie: Zooming / Panning; Highlighting

I am in the process of preparing photo slide shows of my recent
vacation to be incorporated with music/voice then record them into DVD.

To highlight the presentation, I am interested in finding/learning:

a. How do I record the slide movie by zooming in/out; panning
right/left/higher/lower to call attention on certain feastures/items
found in the photos.

b. Frequently, I used laser pointer to highlight some points in
presentations;
How to do the same in photos/movie by red circling here/there ; drawing
arrows in photo/movie to achieve the same purpose, yet easily to remove
on one click. (digital highlighter/ marker?)

Arbitrary static overlays can be placed using custom effects/transitions
by chroma keying or using my PipPlus package
