Hi,

I am trying to use the "My_Pictures > {select picture) > File and Folder
Tasks > E-Mail this file" option from XP. ( I wish to simply email pictures
at an appropriate size/scale).
When I do this it goes so far as to ask about resizing and show a send mail
window but no requests for destination address are made and no email appears
to be sent.
I have confirmed that OE 6 is my default email client and I have tried the
Start / Run and type: "REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL" approach but this doesn't work
either.
I have messenger installed which I understand could also be a cause but that
has not solved the issue.
My last best guess is related to something I have found on the web that
indicates I might need an MAPI ISP interface but I do not know how to do
this.
One site suggested there was an enable MAPI checkbox in OE options > General
but I can't see this in my installation.
My ISP is NTL (uk) and I also have a hotmail address, if that helps.
Any suggestions?

I guess you tried the following?:

How do I make OE my default mail client?

Go to...Start / Run...and type the following:
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg<
(copy paste everything between the > < but not including the > <)
(But first...Check the path to msimn.exe to make sure it is correct)

Click...OK...

Then open Internet Explorer and go to...Tools / Internet Options /
Programs tab...and set OE as the default mail (and news) program.

Good luck.
