I have a number of very similar collections of photos in separate folders
(both local and networked), all with their original photo number, e.g
DSC0022, with the numbers are repeated in the various folders. I wish to
print "contact sheets" from these folders. to enable sorting, checking for
duplication etc between the folders. The file name is printed but the
folder is not.

How do I print the full directory path as a footer in the contact sheet?
I canot see a way to do this in the wizard or the printer preferences

There should be a setting in your camera to
allow sequential numbering. The risk of photos
being overwritten (lost) is very great when you
have many with the same numbers.

FastStone Image Viewer might be worth a try
for your contact sheet. To begin...open the
program...open the folder that contains the
photos you want on the sheet and go to...
Create / Contact Sheet Builder...or type...Alt+C.

Add the Folder Name and Path by clicking the
Footer tab...make your choices by opening the
drop windows.

Thank you, this programme works well, flexible etc. Just what is needed.
Except it is very slow (~13min per folder) and uses all the available cpu.
But it gives me an excuse for numerous cups of coffee.

I am grateful for the prompt advice.
