PHOTO PRINTER 3 YEARS OLD

I have a HP 1315 printer purchased in 2001.

Are the current photo printers much better than the 1315.

Are there better HP models than the 1315 ? My first choice would be a photo
printer without memory cards
 
Inkjet technology has advanced somewhat over the last 3 years. If you like
HP they now have a very high end Photosmart printer of dubious value. I am
more partial to Epsons and the Canon 960.
