I just got my new (refurbished) Epson C82 printer today. Boy does it print
real fast and amazing photos! Direct from Epson and I can't tell that it's
refurbished, looks brand spanking new to me!

I would like to purchase some photo paper for the future when I want to
print pictures on nice paper. Probably some 8x11's and 4x6's.

Could anyone recommend some good types and brands to look for? I'd buy it
off eBay likely because I know that the real good paper can cost alot in
stores.

Yours Truly,

For Panorama printing and other over size printing I use
Weber-Valentine, Val-hues 770HGC at 20 USD a roll. I cut it over size
so the paper at the end of the print doesn't pop-up and hit the
printing carrage making a mess of in on the paper. It's heavy wieght
MAT paper for drafting but it's very nice just like Epson's heavy
wrieght mat paper. Also the Epson Glossy paper at Costco 100 for $20
is very nice but you do need to use an artist vanish on the paper
after printing to remove the browzing (sp) with the C-8x inks also the
vanish keeps the glossy paper from turning orange/brown. The output
of the C-8x printers is best on coated mat paper.

Red River paper www.redriver.com has excellent paper and very reasonable
prices. Highly recommended for Epson and Canon printers.

I'll second the recommendation of Red River. Excellent
selection, good web site (and catalog) and easy ordering
on-line.

You need to be careful with the C82 to get a paper that
will handle the pigment inks.

The following site has an excellent list of paper suppliers:

I would recommend matte over glossy because the pigmented ink actually
covers up the gloss on the paper. Epson also has a new Dura brite paper
with a gloss.
