The FP galleries have limitations, some are known, some seem to be
mysteries. When you hit an unknown wall...switch to something else...like
JAlbum. It's free, customizable, and easily incorporated into an FP web (
http://www.jalbum.com ). Thats for slide show type galleries.
If you want a montage kinda display you can just create your own by putting
your thumbnails into a table with or without visible borders and linking to
bigger images on their own page...or use Spawn for popups - another great
freebie program from
http://www.jimcoaddins.com
You can create batch thumbnails with another free program called Irfanview
(
http://www.irfanview.com ) - this is an incredible image manipulation
program that you should have in your toolbag anyway.
hth..
| Nope, that didn't do it either. It is still only allowing my pics to show
in
| the horizontal mode and only if I leave all other settings default. If I
even
| change the font on the captions, or the number of pics to use in a row, it
| still stalls after filling the progress bar for generating thumbnails. If
| this is such a pain, how much worse is it to just create an area where you
| need to have a username and password to access the pages, and to only be
able
| to view them? Lord oh Lord what have I gotten myself into here?!?! LOL!!
