Photo names and image not agreeing

My photos have changed so that the filename matches the photo that is
displayed when you click on it, but the preview in the folder doesn't
match...they are all swapped around. I can't seem to get the preview photo to
go back to that of the photo it is supposed to be. Does anyone know what has
happened or how to fix it?
 
Open the folder in thumbnail view.
The file Thumbs.db should be listed within this folder. If not, click on
Tools on the top bar and Folder options, then on the View tab and scroll
down and check "Show hidden files..." Press F5 and you should now see this
file. Click on it to delete it. You will get a warning message. Accept to
delete.
Close the folder, open the folder and wait a second or so for XP to generate
a new Thumb.db file.
This should solve the problem. Now go back and change to Do not show hidden
files.

Hi Yves Alarie

Thanks for you help, but I couldn't get to see the Thumbs.db file you
mentioned. I did the first bit ok and clicked Show hidden files but then
nothing different happened and I couldn't see that Thumbs file
anywhere.....am I missing something?!
