I am trying to create a dynamic photo mosiac in PPT. I want to flash a
single photo on the screen and then have it shrink away to a "grid"
background and repeat until all the squares of the grid are full.

If you are using PPT 2002 or later, you can give each picture an entrance
animation, an emphasis animation of shrink, and a motion path animation. Set
the emphasis and motion paths to happen after the entrance animation with a
small delay. Once you have all the animations set and timed, you can adjust
the end point of each motion path so that it ends in the middle of the grid.
It will take some fiddling, but once you have the process down, it will not
take long to do the remaining pictures.

If you have an older version, this is very difficult to do.

I believe life is meant to be lived. But:
if we live without making a difference, it makes no difference that we lived

terrific help - I got it figured out and it looks great. I ma using 07 and
that really made the difference. Much smoother interface and intuitive
ribbons etc. I am now trying to figure out how to play it on another puter
and package it for others. It seems that none of the timings are going to
stay put. I am trying Camtasia but so far, it looks like a very poor quality
recording.

Thank you tho for giving this informatiom - you guys rock!
