Photo Gallery, unable to add or remove pictures! Help!

My photo galleries work fine. There are occaisions when I
would like to add or remove a picture or add on a
caption/change the layout. However, whenever I try any of
these operations, Frontpage stops responding and I have
to shut it down with the taks manager following
the "windows salute". Any help from anyone out there
would be helpful. Thanks,
 
I have about 20 galleries on my site, and starting over can be a pain, but
it IS the best way to go.
