Photo File Attachment is Too Large

I have an application that displays photos on a form and a report. I have a
customer who is running my software who gets a message of "File Too Large"
with our software. Yet, I have the same image files on my machine and it does
not display such a message and it appears fine. In fact, the same is true at
their facility, all other machines except one shows the images. I figured
when I created an installation routine for my Access ADP system it would
include all the necessary files for this to work, but apparently that is not
the case. All systems here are running Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 2. Plus,
all machines are running Microsoft Office.

Are there any special graphics files that are required for this to work? If
so, is there a way I can add them to my installation rountine so that they
are always included, regardless of what is installed on the target PCs? Plus,
is there a way I can send a patch to my customer so that these images will
appear?

Also, it's not just one image that is giving the error, it appears to report
this error for all images.

Any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Greg

Hello Greg,

I understand that your ADP application does not work on a specific mahcine
and it shows error message "File Too Large" when displaying photos in a
form or report. If I'm off-base, please let me know.

To know the issue better, I'd like to know the exact method you use to
display photos in the form/report. Do you use the method mentioned in
following article?

285820 How to display images from a folder in a form, a report, or a data
access page
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;285820

To isolate the issue, you may want to perform the following test:

1. Try the Northwind sample database or a new database to check if the
issue only occurs on a specific database.

2. Log on as a different user to see if the issue is with specific user
profile.

3. You may troubleshoot the issue with a selective startup. To do so:

1). Run the System Configuration Utility (msconfig.exe): Click Start->Run,
type "msconfig"(without quotation mark) in the open box, and click OK.
2). On the General tab, select "Selective Startup" and then deselect Load
Startup items, select the checks on other options.
3). On the Services tab, click Hide All Microsoft Services. Deselect all
the items left.
4). Click the Apply button.
5). Reboot this computer to test the situation.

From the symptoms, it's more like a machine specific issue that is related
to some corrupted regitry keys. I don't think there is any special graphics
files that are required for this machine.

If the issue still occurs, please capture a screen shot of the error
message, and send me a simplified ADP and backend database backup. You
could remove the

If you have any update, please feel free to let's know. Thank you.
