before I had XP, I used microsoft photo editor all the time. now I have xp and can't find it. what program do I use to manage photos I receive via email to save as jpeg, then manage them?
 
Microsoft photo editor was part of Office 97 and is not part of Windows XP
(or Office XP or Office 2003)
To save a picture from the Internet, you simply right click on it and Save
as. A window will open, you give a name to the file and the default save
will be jpg.
Once the file is saved, you simply double click on it and it will open in
Windows Pictures and Fax viewer.
