I recently installed a new hard drive and did a fresh install if Windows
XP-pro Sp2 and Office 2003. However, I noted that Microsoft Photo Editor was
no longer available so I put my old Office 97 CD in and installed Photo
Editor.

Now, when I click on a stored picture (.jpg .bmp, etc) the picture displays
alright on my monitor but I can't print. If I go to << File/Print >> Photo
Editor crashes and then closes the program.

The error message I get says...

"Microsoft Photo Editor has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience."

And it asks me if I want to send an error report to Microsoft.

Can anybody help me?

If you need help with Photo Editor I think you should
be posting in an Office newsgroup.

To restore default filetype associations for images
Run... (e.g. press Win-R and enter:)

regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll
