I am looking for a free or reasonably priced photo editing program that does a little more than just the basic editing. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Depending on how much more than basic you need, Picasa may tick all the boxes (http://www.google.com/picasa/). It has red eye reduction, colour correction and lots of other features.

If you need something even more powerful, then Gimp would be perfect .
