Ok, Just wondering how do I get my icon back to it was
before. I installed a Program that changed all my *.bmp
files to their icon, I uninstalled that program,
rebooted, and did a restore point. But its still the same
icon. In the properties of change file association. Its a
different icon all together.. Looks like a .dll icon. How
do I change the icon to photo editing software on ? I
just like that icon and want it back. I tried the thing
in a other post. Start>Run typed " REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL "
and it said ok. Rebooted. Nothing. Still the same icon. I
just want to change it back.. How.. Thank you.. I am
running XP with xpsp2.

To Associate your files with another viewer then open Windows Explorer Go to
Tools | Folder options | File Types Tab | Select the image extension that
wish to change the assocation then click change choose program and check
the box "Always use the select program to open this kind of file" or Right
Click an image file | Opens With | Choose Program and check the box "Always
use....."

ok, fine.. yes that worked. Thats not my issue. Its the
icon that is my issue. Its the icon of a program thats
not in my computer anymore.. its a paintbrush on a white
sheet of paper. I want the icon that it showes there on
the list. But even when i apply, OK.. it still doesnt go
to that icon. Its has a mind of its own.
