photo acquire

When I open "My Pictures" there is not a selection to
acquire from scanner. How do I get a photo from the
scanner to "My Pictures"?

If your scanner is connected and turned on,
you should see "Get Pictures From Camera
or Scanner" in your "Picture Tasks" pane.

When you open the My Pictures folder...wait
a few seconds until the folder is fully loaded
and the option should show up.

FWIW, just recently, and out of nowhere, the "Get pictures"
prompt stopped appearing at the top level of the My
Pictures folder. It appears when viewing sub-folders,
however. Not a problem for me, but maybe the OP should
try drilling down one level and see what happens.
