We have a number of Windows 2000 Server boxes (Compaq DL280 machines)
that are generating "phony" threshold limits. The event id is 2013,
indicating that we have crossed the 90% threshold. However, the
evidence clearly shows this to be *not* the case. We have tried
defragging and limit the pagefile size, but this does no good.
These are pretty vanilla systems with McAfee AntiVirus 8.0 on them.
One has SQL Server 2000, another has ARCserve 9.x, and so on. All are
fully patched and otherwise have been stable. However, getting these
alerts, which mostly come at night, is becoming bothersome. Some
occur close to, but not exactly at the same time, as the backups.
Any ideas?
