phonebook is reading from wrong contacts list

How do I change my outlook phonebook to read from a specific contacts list
and can I delete the contacts list with nothing in it? Currently the
phonebook shows no contacts and asks me to change to the other contacts list.
This is very timeconsuming when I am sending to a few contacts.
 
What is an Outlook phonebook? That term has no meaning to us. You'll need to
tell us what you mean by it. Are you perhaps referring to the address book
view of your Contacts Folder?
Never fail to post your Outlook version when you post a question. We can't
answer without that information.
 
open the address book (tools menu) then go it's tools, options menu and
change the order or delete contacts folders that don't have electronic
addresses stored in them.
