I want to use phone dialer in windows xp as a software for internet to phone
calls but i don't know how to configure it.can you give me a detail
description of how to configure this software for internet calling? also
there are options for addressing gateway address in Advanced tab of Phone
And Modem Options.I'm sure that by defining a internet voip gateway address
in this dialoge and setting phone and after dialing modem to internet and
setting phone dialer to call through internet it is possible that after
clicking dial and entering a phone number we can make an internet to pnone
call.Actually phone dialer is for using this purpose. Can you give me more
details about my remarks? Thank you

You cannot use XP's Phone Dialler for making Internet (VOIP / Skype) Calls.

It can only be configured for use with a modem connected to an outside phone-line in
"direct dialling".

Internet Calling software (which you will need) will have in-built methods of storing
numbers for "quick dialling", just like the Phone Dialler...

I will have to apologise for my earlier post (reply).

I believe you can use XP's version of Phone Dialler for Internet Calls, however, I
will admit I don't know how to do this as all it gives me as an option for "Line" for
"Internet Calls" is : "H323 Line" ??

I have no idea of what this is as I have a wireless 3G modem installed and it is not
listed as a choice for the source for Internet Calls.

Again, I am sorry for my earlier post...

So what is the option of Internet checkbox in Dial properties and if we set
properties of phone box in it's Edit menu to h.323 and then in TAPI give the
address of voip gateway is that possible?

Have you not read my apologetic "other" post?

I have spent more time on Win98 and hadn't realised they updated the program for XP.

Again, sorry for any inconvenienced caused by the first reply.
