I tried to use phone dialer. I have a full duplex modem
and sound card. When I tried to call someone we are not
able to hear the voice. But if I use half duplex modem one
end is able to hear the voice. I have connected and
external modem and connected headset to the sound card.
Could someone help me how to solve this problem?

If you're using the phone dialer that comes with Windows it is only a dialer
program, it does not support voice transmission.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the message. I do appreciate. A
quick question coming to you.....

What is the use of Microsoft Phone dialer and if you have
any idea about any other software which will meet my
requirement, please let me know. It will be very much
grateful. An important thing, I don't want to use internet
IP telephonic system.

With warm regards

George

What is the use? I use it all the time to dial contacts in my address book,
then I pick up the handset. :-)

Voice software that will do what you want? If your modem supports voice
operation it usually comes with a freebie program that offers minimal
features. For a more fully-functional program you may need to purchase one.
You could use a Web site like www.download.com or www.google.com to search
for a voicemodem or speakerphone program to try.

I don't want to use my telephone instrument for dialing. I
have connected an external full duplex modem and full
duplex sound card. I have a headset and connected to the
sound card. Now when I use microsoft phone dialer I am
able to hear. The otherside person is not able hear at
all.

Will phone dialer meet my requirement?

Again, the Phone Dialer in Windows is only a phone dialer, not a
speakerphone or voicemodem program. All it does is dial. It will never do
voice. For that you need a different software package and I gave you
several recommendations on how to find one in the message you replied to.
