i have tried to search for viewing incoming call numbers
in the phone dialer and its associated log files but
outward numbers are displayed while incoming call numbers
of caller identity could not be traced .please inform me
about troubleshooting this issue.

While it talks about RAS you can follow the steps to see if
the modem is getting the caller id information.

My modem gets the caller id information but SBS 2000 shared
fax doesn't. I have been unable to get an answer as to why.
