Hi,
Try run regedit as follows:
Enable auto-run, from Microsoft
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Click Start, click Run, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box, and then press Enter.
2. In Registry Editor, expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key, expand the System key, expand the CurrentControlSet key, expand the Services key, and click the CDRom key.
3. In the right pane, to enable automatically running CD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 1 by right clicking the Autorun entry, clicking Modify and typing 1 in the Value data box.
4. Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key, expand the Software key, expand the Microsoft key, expand the Windows NT key, expand the CurrentVersion key, and click the Winlogon key.
5. In the right pane, right click the allocatecdroms entry, click Modify, type 0 in the Value data box, and click OK.
6. Close the registry editor, and restart the computer.
If the problem still occurs, check the following registry keys. They also can affect the Autorun function.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
NoDriveTypeAutoRun = 0x00000095
-and-
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
NoDriveTypeAutoRun = 0x00000095
The correct value for each is 0x00000095. If the value is set as another incorrect data, please modify it.
Note: export the registry keys and save it to a specific folder before modification/deletion for just in case.
Hope it helps.

After installing this new DVD/CD player I can play audio
cds and dvd's. I can access files on the cd's as well.
But the autorun or auto-install (whatever it is) no longer
works. When I insert a program cd it ignores the
autorun.inf file and I have to manually click on the
setup.exe.
How do I reset this feature?
