Phantom Typist

Whenever I create an email a phantom typist starts typing
half created sentences ....then there is a delay in my
computor a line of dots and dashes appear and the typing
starts again...anyone experience this ?? or know what it
is .....???? Its driving me nuts ....
 
Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: TEXT SERVICES , and hit enter.
Then click on "Turn text services off or on". You need to turn-off text services.

This happened to me when I installed MS Word with Speech to Text enabled.
