Hi,
Can someone please explain to me exactly how to stop my log on screen from
telling me I have 1 unread email? I most definitely do not have ANY unread
emails in ANY folder. I realise I could just learn to live with it, but it's
very irritating!
Thanks and much appreciated.
Geoff.

hi geoff
if you download tweakui from microsoft powertools, im sure there is an
option in it to turn off the unread e-mails that show on the login screen, as
well as loads of other options you can tweak and play about with....pete ;-)

Thanks Pete! That's done the trick. There's actually an option to reset it
to nil.
Geoff.

How do I do that then?

Please take my answers anyway you like, i am no expert but i do like to
try
and help anyone i can ;-)

you should see a button at the bottom of the sceen saying was this post
helpful to you, just click on the button.... ;-)

Only people who use the horrendous web interface see that button. If you use
an honest news reader, you will NOT see a button.

Believe it or not, some people actually read newsgroups with a news reader
such as Outlook Express and never see the option to "rate this post". Only
people who access the newsgroups through a web interface will have that
option.

thanks for pointing that out, what is the purpose of having the button on the
web interface if nobody reads through it!!!! perhaps they should just do
away with it.

Be fair - the chap has come under a lot of criticism lately!
