Yesterday, I removed an old SCSI CD-Rom drive that had been just taking
up a bay in my computer. I had not used it in perhaps three or four
years, although for some reason I did keep the Adaptec SCSI controller
card in the computer as well and watched it tick away looking for
devices each time it booted, and never finding any, as none were
attached (I had not attached a power connector to the CD-Rom)
Anyway, at the moment my computer now shows two CD-Roms, one my Plextor
708A, which is there, and one a
Hardware: Generic DVD-Rom SCSI CD Rom device,
Device Type: SCSI (Port 3, Target ID: 0, LUN:0
Adapter Name D347PRT SCSI Controller
I do not have a SCSI controller in my box, although I do have a Promise
SATAII150 TX4, which is a non-RAID SATA controller.
Does anyone know what the issue is?
Thanks
