Anybody know of freeware that will give me the same as Norton Utilities.
Speedisk, Diskdoctor etc.
Had to format & now computer does not like pirate Norton.

Win 98se & I do not push it too hard.

Have you tried the various Babya products?
It's my understanding that they provide the best Seiler Pollution Control
System available.

I asked for basic maintenance software & I kick off with a masturbator.

No one stop solution like Norton Utilities. Closest is Vcom's System Suite
but freeware it ain't - though it's the best of the "swiss army knife"
toolkits.

Look at http://www.pricelessware.org/thelist/sys.htm

and build your own toolkit is probably the best approach.

Also look at UBCD

for AV.. AVG
for windows cleanup... try Ccleaner

for the disk stuff... I do not know
