Over the last 10 days or so advertising Pop-ups have been appearing and
I can’t seem to find a way to stop them. It’s probably associated with
something I changed or installed, but I can’t remember anything specific.

I use Maxthon on top of IE6. The urls displayed in the address bar of
the popups include:

http://c5.zedo.com
http://adopt.specificclick.net

The IE icon is displayed in the right hand corner although Maxthon is
active browser.

I sense they may be associated with specific sites; maybe script
related; and timed to repeat periodically. But I still can’t figure out
how to stop them.

Both Mathon and IE have the popup blockers enabled. Have run Adaware &
Spybot, plus have Spy Sweeper continually active.

Any help would be appreciated.
