Hello guys.

Some days ago, we changed our File server.
Since some persons get an error message in their Outlook saying
Personal Folder is not available, or they are not able to browse it.

People are using Outlook 2000.
Their pst file is located on the network, and this issue can happens
at any time :

By launching Outlook,
During the day,

No special event can be find on the File Server.

It is very hard to find a clue to find this kind of problem.
Help would be welcolme to try solve this strange issue.

Regards

Sébastien

And that is the reason why storing pst-files on a networkshare is not
recommended and supported by Microsoft. The pst-file structure has never
been designed for this.

Anyway. If you made sure all the networkconnections are set correctly you
might want to link to the file by UNC
(\\computername\sharename\filename.pst) than by an absolute path
(h:\filename.pst). This seems to work better in most cases.

Again; it is not recommend and supported to store pst-files on networkshares
as this can lead to data corruption and possible data loss!
