Employee files supposedly delete by themselves. I've done
a restore three times from the backup. Does anyone have
an idea of what this maybe besides, the files are being
deleted intensionally or virus?

Thank you

Enable auditing of the files and see who accesses them.

As mentioned you can audit file access but first you have to enable auditing of
object access in the Local Security Policy of the computer. The link below explains
more. I recommend that you audit only the two deletion permissions and check the ntfs
permissions on the folder to make sure it is correct. Look for event ID's 560 and 562
in the security log of the computer where the files are located. Have the user change
their password in case someone else has obtained it. --- Steve
