I just completed copying my PST file from another laptop. My calendar and
contacts now appear as "Calendar in Personal Folder" and "Contacts in
Personal Folder". The Personal Calendar will not allow alarms/reminders for
appointments.

How can I make the Personal Calendar and Contacts the default?

That depends on your version of Outlook, which you don't state. FOr OL
2002/2003, it's at the bottom left of Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next
 
Brian - thanks. I found the problem. There was another PST file that it was
referencing. I changed the name to .old and pointed it to the new file.
