Using Exchange 5.5 and Outlook XP. When converting from
Outlook 2002 to XP you are often asked whether you want to
move your Personal Address Book entries to Contacts.... at
the time I did not and said NO.

Now I want to move them to Contacts and can't find a way
to move them - can't right click and add to contacts or
anything like that. Is there a way to move a PAB entries
to Contacts without reentering info?

Yes you can move the Personal Address Book (PAB) information into the
Contacts folder. To do this you will need to find the location of the PAB
it will have a .pab file extension. The next step will be to import the
.pab file into Outlook:
1. Open Outlook.
2. Go to File -> Import and Export.
3. Select Import from another program or file and Click Next.
4. Select Personal Address Book and Click Next.
Now finish going through the Import wizard and your data should be imported.

I hope this information is helpful.

File | Import and Export will give you an option for importing from another
file, including a PAB.

I've used this method, but when it starts the operation I
get the following error:

An error occurred while importing or exporting and the
import/export was terminated. MAPI error 0X80070057 was
reported. Please try to import/export again later.

Every time I try I get this error. Is there any hope?

Outlook version? Have you tried Help | Detect and Repair? Does the PAB file
work otherwise?

Outlook version? Outlook 2002 SP-1
Have you tried Help | Detect and Repair? Yes
Does the PAB file work otherwise? Yes

I have exactly the same issue, except am running Outlook 2002 on XP Home. I transferred all of my old Outlook info over from my old computer, (Win 98), including the addresses. The addresses showed up for about 4 days on my new computer, but are now gone. I tried to do the File | Import and Export, Other programs or files, but nothing shows up in the Contact list or the PAB listing. I was able to find a .pab file, hidden away in my Documents and Setting folder, so I know the data is out there. Unfortunately, the Wizard won't let me browse to it... Help!
