Just a suggestion, JAX

Tried that with no luck JAX. Funny thing is every file in this folder has
the same date and is a query file!? Whatever that is? The dates are long
before I had this machine, which I've had from new.

okay just done another google search and found that the files inside the
folder are PCHEALTH HELPCTR files now does anyone know anything about these?

Have you tried r-clicking one of the files and checking the properties to
see if you can determine where it came from?

JAX

there is 443 files all created 31 Jan 2004 all modified 22 oct 2003 last
accessed 31 Jan 2004. That's all the info I can give on them. I don't know
what program opens them neither does microsoft site.

Just out of a hunch, have you ran an updated virus scan and spyware check
lately? Needless to say, those are not system files. If you didn't install
them, something did!!

JAX

see where your coming from JAX . I do a spyware check with spy bot at every
start up and ran virus scan earlier today.. Is it possible they come from
microsoft updates?

Maybe delete is a bit hasty, instead I'm going to move the folder and
replace it if my system don't like it...
Thanks for all your help JAX have a nice life...

Just wanted to you update you JAX I moved the folder and my system became
very unstable. Once I moved it back everything is fine. So I guess what ever
it is, it is needed.

Deleting them would move them to the recycle bin. If there was a problem,
all you need do is restore them. BTW, did you upgrade from ME?

JAX

no xp was installed from new.

I've just been looking through the hits on Google and came up with that
