persistant web address

some months ago I went onto a website which was
www.workvisalawyers.com

I regularly clear history and delete temporary internet
files and cookies

But still, when I type www.w - a drop down opens with the
address www.workvisalawyers.com

does anyone know what they have done to make this happen
and where I can look on my computer to find something to
delete to stop it happenning in the future?
 
Jim, under tools/options/content click on auto complete
button and deselect web addresses
