I've just upgraded to Vista from XP using the Upgrade path, and I seem
to be having permission issues.
It first manifested itself with a problem trying to access Windows
Explorer or Control Panel from the start menu, but indeed this also
happens when trying to double click "explorer.exe" within Windows Explorer:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not
have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
Er...
Ok...
So, how did I get into explorer, Win+E.
When I try to edit permissions on the security tab of an item, Im also told:
"Can't access control editor. Access is denied."
I'm logging onto a non-roaming profile SMB server with a blargle domain,
user account sjdean.
That use is listed under the "Administrators" group on the local PC.
Im confused.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
