| I am attempting to set up security on a Access 2000
| database. I began setting up user groups and
| permissions. How can I delete all of it and start over.
| I set up several passwords for groups but when I open the
| database it never asker for a user or password. I need
| help. I am new to this and honestly do not know a lot
| about it. I would appreciate any help

Hi Sharon,
The reason you are not being prompted for User Name and Password is because
the account "Admin" does not have a password assigned to it.
- Open up Microsoft Access
- Click the menu option Tools > Security > User and Group
Accounts
- Click the "Change Logon Password" tab (notice the User Name
is Admin)
- Enter a New Password and Verify the password
- Close Microsoft Access
- Open your database and noticed you are prompted for User
Name and Password
I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
