A domain user cannot install a program. We've set them up
to log on locally to their computer and then they can
install programs if necessary. However, it doesn't work.
Although the program installs, there appear to be
permission problems when the log back into the domain, the
program complains and won't run.

How should we be handling this problem? We don't want
every user to be a domain admin and we don't want to have
to visit a computer everytime a user wants to install a
program.

Thanks
Jim Leavitt

You can add the users to the local admin group on the workstations or you
can add them to the power users group. Those groups have the ability to
install applications on workstations.
