I have 100 users and each one maps to a V: drive. Now
some of these users need access to more than one users
folder. So I was wondering if it were possible that when
a users clicks on their V: drive they see only the folders
they have access to and not to all the shared user folders?

Ex. Joe has access to just his own.
Frank has access to his own and Joe's.

If Joe looks at his V: drive he should only see his. If
Frank looks at his V: drive he should see his and Joe's
and not the other 98 users.

Now I can get the first part but I can't quite figure out
the second part. Is this possible? I am not sure what
permissions to assign?

Thanks.

Agreed, but in this case Frank could also see more than one
user...say everyone in his department.

Thanks.

Windows provides no mechanism to hide folders/files based on who is looking.
It's an all-or-nothing sort of deal -- you see directory contents or you
don't.
