Our F: Drive setup is as follows
\Sales
\Sales\Leads
\Sales\Documents
\Engineering
\Engineering\Drawings
\Engineering\ECO
and so on.....
I am having a problem where the person working on the \Engineering\Drawings
folder keeps mistakenly dragging and dropping the folder to one of the other
branches in the tree because he is moving his mouse to quickly. Shooting
him up with valium did not seem to help prevent him from doing this so it is
impossible to train him not to mess up any more so I need a permissions
solution.
He requires the ability to Add, Delete, and Modify files and subfolders
within the folder but a few of the settings I have tried just don't seem to
be working out. I tried to give him permissions as follows:
This Folder Only: All permissions but "Full","Take
Ownership","Delete","Change Permissions"
SubFolder and Files Only: Modify
That did not work so I tried to put "Deny" for Delete for "This Folder Only"
for a permission in addition to his Modify permission, but that prevents him
from deleting any files within the folder.
