Hi,
I have a Windows 2000 server with several home directories on the file
server. My problem is that I want everyone to have access to his or her home
directory without being able to get to anyone else. Currently the directory
structure is setup so that the security groups Everyone, No access, and
Administrator have access. Originally, I was going to remove the group
Everyone and replace it with the group Users and then set individual access
to each of the individual directories. The issue with that is that I have to
remove the group Everyone, which is replicating permissions to the daughter
directories. My fear is that if I remove the Everyone directory I may
destabilize Windows because the group is inheriting permission from a parent
directory.
