Permissions for removable drive

Hi,

iPod's creates a removable drive which only works properly for a local
admin.
Even when a user is a member of Power Users group, the file structure on the
drive is hidden and there is no write access to it.

Windows sees iPod as a removable drive. I wonder how can I get non-admin
user full access to it?

Thanks,

-Stan

Log in as Administrator and give user access to the map.

The problem is that iPod's is not mapped and therefore Security tab/button
is grayed out.
It simply shows up as a removable drive. When I logged in as Admin there are
hidden folders on that drive, which are not visible when a non-admin user is
logged in.
As a result, when a non-admin user is trying to update iPod through iTunes
application,
the update fails because iPod's removable drive is read-only.

I tried to create a share and give full permissions to the group/user, but
it did not help...

Is the drive formatted with NTFS file system as shown in it's properties??
If it is you should be able as an administrator to grant permissions to
other users/groups. There is also security option that can be accessed via
Local Security Policy under local policies/security options for allowed to
eject removable media that by default is configured only for administrators
but can be changed to include power users and interactive users. --- Steve
