Hello,

I do quite a bit of work for schools. Anyway, students
leave the pc's in a locked state and we want to let
teachers unlock the workstation without being a full blown
admin. Is there a way to allow this that anyone knows of?

Thanks in advance.

I do not know of any way to do that. You could make teachers
administrators on the local machine without being a domain administrator, of
course the risk there is that they will forget to log out. Also you can use
group policy to disable locking a computer and tell them to log off instead.
Though a bit drastic, a reboot will unlock a computer and the logon screen
will be displayed after the reboot. --- Steve
